WIP Wednesday: a quilt in progress

quilt in progress

The Eugene Modern Quilt Guild is having a solids challenge right now. We were each given a charm pack of 5" squares of solid color fabrics and challenged to come up with a quilt design using only those squares and additional solid fabrics. Here is what I've got so far. The spark for this design was inspired by this quilt by Rita of Red Pepper quilts. I finished sewing the quilt top over the weekend, and now it's hanging on the wall waiting for quilting inspiration to strike. I've had several ideas so far, but none seem just right. I'm going to let it sit a little longer and see what I come up with.

It is gorgeous. (I loved that one of Rita's too.) I'm actually getting ready to do a small one inspired by your dinosaur embroidered. I can't seem to get anyone to draw the patterns I need, though, and I draw like a child myself.
